June Calloway

Makes upheaval feel intelligible without romanticising collapse.
June Calloway is the name one of our astrologers writes under. She prefers it that way: the readings are hers, the name is not. Every page on this site starts from a chart computed from real positions and real dates, and nothing is published without hers review.
I wish someone had told me this at 28
You can be grateful for your life and still realize you built the wrong one.
That was the sentence I needed during my first Saturn return, when several things I had spent years trying to achieve suddenly felt unbearable to maintain. Nothing was technically wrong enough to justify blowing everything up. Which made it more confusing when I wanted to blow everything up. So I did what anxious people with a research problem do: I became extremely annoying about it.
I started with natal astrology nine years ago in Toronto, then moved into structured online study of transits, solar returns and progressions. Eventually I narrowed almost all of my work toward Saturn: natal Saturn, the first Saturn return, Saturn squares, oppositions, and the way major Saturn periods seem to expose whatever part of a life has been running on borrowed definitions.
I have since worked through more than 1,860 charts centerd on career changes, breakups, identity crises, relocations, commitments, endings and the very specific late-twenties panic of wondering whether everybody else secretly knows what they are doing.
Here is what all those charts taught me: Saturn is not interesting because it punishes people. It is interesting because certain periods make self-deception expensive.
My gift came from living through the material before I knew how to explain it, then seeing the same architecture appear in other lives. I got better at distinguishing a temporary bad month from a developmental threshold, the kind of period where going back to normal is exactly what stops working.
Why do I think I can help? Because I am not interested in telling you that every collapse is destiny. Sometimes a bad job is just a bad job. Sometimes a breakup is simply sad. But when several foundations start moving at once, a chart can help you see whether there is a larger cycle underneath the chaos. And if there is, I want to help you work with it without turning your life into a cosmic emergency.
Your Saturn return is not a deadline for becoming an adult. It is an audit of the adulthood you have been building.
